Welcome to the 3rd workshop on Tactile and Haptic Interaction.
This conference is held in Japan for the first time.
This workshop is dealt with Tactile and Haptic for human interface.
As theme of this research area is spanning variously, many researchers
have a chance to join us!
The end of May, Japan is the most beautiful season in the year.
The purpose of the 3rd Workshop on the Tactile and Haptic Interaction
(WTHI) is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners
interested in the Tactile/Haptic technologies, research ideas, experimental
results, and other contributions.
WTHI is the major international workshop for the presentation of new
research results and for the demonstration of new systems and techniques
in the broad field of Tactile and Haptic Interaction (THI).
The Workshop and Program Chairs invite all those working in areas related
to THID to submit original research contributions and demonstrations of
systems.
The first WTHI conference was held in 2005 at Saskatoon, Canada as
GOTHIf05. The second WTHI conference was held in 2006 at Potsdam,
Germany as Accessible Media Workshop.
The 3rd WTHI will be held in Tokyo, Japan at Aoyama Gakuin University.
The technical program for the two-day workshop will include refereed
paper presentations, as well as the demonstration of new systems and
techniques.
Building on prior workshops, the theme of the 3rd WTHI is Beyond Culture.
The spirit of the workshop is analogous to the spirit behind culture.
